The story of Iboga Records began in the middle of the nineties when an organisation called rotundum arranged several events in the period 94-97. After some years of event organising & dijing, the idea of a Copenhagen record label for the new Scandinavian progressive trance sounds was taking shape. Breathemusic / Breeze Records is a new label based in Giessen, Germany (Area of Frankfurt Main) and was founded in summer 2004 by the 2 friends Christian Stein and Tino Hufeld. The two have a passionate interest in dance music and are well known for their own “Quality-Trance” productions. The founders of Breathemusic know each other for years. As they believe in the power of electronic dance music they decided to set up their own label and work with partners and artists with the same vision: to deliver fine trance music to the listener with discernment. They aim to set up a good reputation as “Quality-Music” label with good artist and compilation support. The first release was a steaming co-production of the André Visior & the two founders the resulting track “Hidden Sun” was a real successful release and a great track for the Label start.

Spectral records was born in 2003 by Dani (Menog) and Rui (Xrc). They both felt a need to
release and distribute psychedelic music in Portugal, which was almost inexistent in this
country at the time. The concept behind Spectral music is to keep the spirit that people had
in the beginning of the Trance scene… where you felt the music differently, and the basis was
psychedelic feelings and emotions translated into music. In the year 2006 Spectral Records
took a one year break, but in 2007 a new partner (dj Fiuzz, Sindar productions Manager and
Existence Dance Festival main producer) joined the Spectral Crew. 2007 could be viewed as
“a new beginning” for this label, even though the concept remains the same… New artists
and djs are now a part of this family. Prepare yourselves for the future… keep it Psy!
