G-Sonique Digital Instruments is a company located in the town of Piestany in the Slovak Republic (EU), which produces quality virtual electronic music instruments, effects and sample sets for electronic musicians. It was founded in 2007 by two musicians and programmers, Marian Brazovan and Lukas Zahurancik, who are both educated in technical electronics.

The G-Sonique’s focus is creating high-quality progressive music instruments and effects, designed to break through barriers and help you push your musical envelope. The software boasts exceptionally friendly user interfaces that give everyone the ability to create that really professional sound. They do this by designing their audio plug-ins to emulate the modern, precise sound qualities usually found only on the top DSP chip-based hardware.

They have re-created, through the software emulation of vintage hardware, an organic sound with all the charisma and warmth of the original “Class A” analog systems while still keeping the crispness and precision found in digital synthesizers.

G-Sonique is not a large company; it is a partnership of people who see audio post-production as a joy.

Whose real name Eklow Linus, aka Style of Eye. The producer & DJ native of Stockholm, has been rocked by the soul jazz and soul from the age of 10 years. After the age of 15 years, he realized that electronic music is his vocation after buying his first computer . It starts by concocting tracks of downtempo, trip hop dubbeat and then drum’n'bass to 16 years.

Then comes the long-cycle work in the studio, many refusals demos sent to labels, but the consecration in 2003 when just signed his first EP “Right now!” & “Game” in 2004 on the English legendary label “Classic Recordings” run by Derrick Carter! He reciprocated with “Hydroponic” on Tiny Sticks in 2005 and was remixing “Heartbeats” for Rabid Records.

His recent productions are selling like hotcakes, “The Big Kazoo” on “Dirtybirds US” label ranked number 1 by the label Heavy Rotation on IDJ, the famous “Girls” last May and one on the famous label “Pickadoll“.

For an artist who cites as a reference “Stevie Wonder”, a composer of the nineteenth century “Edvard Grieg” and “Yello”, its performance is rather reassuring.

“Duck, Cover & Hold” is his debut album and will for sure rock the entire planet of modern electronic music… Sounds minimal, sounds groovy and spicy! Be sure to get your hands on it, right now!

Breathemusic / Breeze Records is a new label based in Giessen, Germany (Area of Frankfurt Main) and was founded in summer 2004 by the 2 friends Christian Stein and Tino Hufeld. The two have a passionate interest in dance music and are well known for their own “Quality-Trance” productions. The founders of Breathemusic know each other for years. As they believe in the power of electronic dance music they decided to set up their own label and work with partners and artists with the same vision: to deliver fine trance music to the listener with discernment. They aim to set up a good reputation as “Quality-Music” label with good artist and compilation support. The first release was a steaming co-production of the André Visior & the two founders the resulting track “Hidden Sun” was a real successful release and a great track for the Label start.

The latest version of Mixed In Key was announced today.

For those who are new to Mixed In Key, it’s a software tool that detects the key, pitch and harmonic information in a track – allowing DJs to catalog their tracks musically, rather than simple BPM info.

Celebrity users of Mixed In Key include Pete Tong, Dubfire, Kaskade and BT.

In addition to the new features (covered after the jump), version 4 comes in two flavors: Original and a XONE-specific version for Allen & Heath customers.

New features include:

- Improved algorithm to find the key of every track
- A fast way to create playlists in “Browse Collection” to organize music files
- New quality-control feature: While scanning music files, Mixed In Key detects if the volume is too loud, the song is off-key or there are too many clipped peaks. Version 4.0 suggests how to improve those audio files to make them sound better for a live DJ performance
- Ability to add custom keywords to each track for quick searching
